October!!!

      This month has been busy and fun! From a wedding to hanging with friends in Auburn to a family reunion and festivals... I have still been working out, but my weight has hit a plateau again. I have only lost 2 lbs this month which means I am at 211 lbs. Even though next month is Thanksgiving (which means tons of food) and I am at a stand still on my weight, I am still going to stick strong to my diet ( after all Thanksgiving is just one day).

52 pounds down... half way there! :)

    Today was the last weigh in for the month of September. I have had a lot of excitement this month (well at least the last part). I lost 52 lbs which put me weighing in at 212 lbs. My measurements were: Waist 31 1/2", Thighs 25 1/2, and Arms 12 1/2".

   This month I have still been running and working out. I added walking my sweet dog (Dory) almost everyday to my routine. I have also been walking with my cousin Kendra and some of my awesome friends Sarah Jane and Ariel. I have added drinking a cup of water with 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar (kind of gross, but it is suppose to help with weight loss) to my diet plan.

   I want to thank everyone who is reading this and all of you who have been giving me words of encouragement and support. Y'all have helped me in ways I can't even explain. Without your constant support I don't know if I could stick to this journey. Also, I want to thank Penni for helping me through this and making me be committed and checking up on me. Not at my goal yet, but I am still pushing strong with your help. I just wanted to tell y'all a simple thanks from my heart :)

Five more pounds down... almost half way!!!!

        Hey guys, I just wanted to update everyone on my journey. Through the month of August I have been one busy girl from church, going to bridal showers for one of my awesome friends Mallory, and college events picking back up. Even so, that hasn't stopped me from waking up Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays (and sometimes Saturday) to go run at 6 a.m., hitting the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and eating right. This month I lost 5lbs which means I am slowly coming off my plateau! I weighed in today at 216 lbs which is the lowest I have been. This means that I have lost 48 lbs (almost 50 lbs) and I have 66 lbs left to lose. Also, my measurements for this month are at: Waist (33"), Thighs (26 1/2"), and Arms (13").  I went shopping with my Momma Gates and Penni this past Saturday and I tried on dresses. Normally I would go with size 16 or 18, but I found out that I had to go for size 14 and 16 which made me so happy :) This puts me going down almost 3 sizes since my diet began.

Three pounds down... still going!!!

   Hey everyone, so today is the last Monday of July which means final weigh-in for the month. Since my last post I have only lost 3 lbs, about a pound a week, which puts me at 221lbs. I wanted to lose more but I am still struggling with that plateau. However, I am not going to let this little hard curve get me down! This just means I have to keep eating right and push harder at running and the gym. This also means that I have 71 lbs left until I reach my goal weight. That number seems so big to me, but I know I can do it since I have already lost 43 lbs. I have been eating right (between 1200 and 1500 good calories a day) and alternating how much calorie in-take I receive to keep my metabolism at a good rate. I have been slacking a little on the gym, but I picked up running three days or more a week in the morning.
